I fell off a ladder at work. I was taken to the hospital. It was in a coma for about 20 hours. My husband was there through it. All the surgery therapies and the transition back home. We've made some modifications to our home so that I can move around more easily. A personal care aid has been scheduled to come help. I feel like I have made significant progress and I'd like to get back to work. No, not any significant challenges. Sometimes I get a little down thinking about who I used to be and the things I can't do is easily. Now I feel like a burden to my husband. Some days I get tired pretty easily, especially if there's a lot of noises, lights or movement going on. I also have some difficulty completing tasks in the proper order. It feels all jumbled in my mind so it takes me a long time to finish them. No, I have a glass of wine at dinner occasionally. Nothing other than my accident. Now I use a cane to help with my balance and special prison glasses to see without them. I see everything similar to a three D. movie and get pretty bad heroics. I have done some searching and had some interviews for jobs but don't get the job or calls back. I worked at a construction firm for nearly 20 years. I worked hard and was successful and advanced with the company. Then I fell on the job. I'd like to work back in construction but I'm worried I won't be able to do the same job. I'd like to have a stable job to feel like I'm contributing to my family. I'm not afraid to work hard to advance in the company, but I'm nervous to start at the very beginning. I'm very loyal and when I dedicate myself to something, I stick with it no matter how hard it is, I like being creative, working with people and working with my hands
