I tracked it to a small, remote town in North Carolina. It wasn't easy getting that far with all the charts and false leads and conjecture. Once I arrived, I knew I was there. It was overcast, cold, quiet. The birds were the first sign they were hopping around on the road on my way in when they noticed the car. They tried flying away but couldn't go more than a few feet before flailing in the air and rolling on the ground with chirps and cause.
