Tim. All is up to bat on. He's got about four swings left. Taking a pitch looks like, uh, Tim starting to loosen up a little bit. He's a big guy. So he's, uh, he's starting to find his stroke a little bit here. Four balls in this game equals five points is an opposite field. Big shot often and in the top. And that should do it for Tim home. All right, Next up, we've got Gavin Jordan, Gavin's Ah, junior out of Southwestern High school, taking a swing here. Gavin's got like, a long stroke, but when he's on, he times it and he hit those targets of the middle. That's kind of where he likes to Hit is up. The middle coach says he is working on hitting a curveball. Ball two. So this is a new thing where we are letting falls go by and kids are actually getting points for getting four balls. So we're new, uh, new rule in the game. But that's for the hit league here. Rodney Davis. Then Gavin is He's off there and you can see he's really working on pitch selection to he's not gonna swing at something that he can't drive up the middle. Nice swing there. He's starting to get his timing. Find his rhythm a little bit here. That was a pop up, and that should do it for Gavin. Okay, next up. Joma graph Joma graph is junior at Wilson High School in Long Beach. Joe has been the hit leader consecutively for the last few weeks. This last week you got topped by his teammate at Wilson, Nolan or Nellis. Joe has that nice inside out swing kind of, Ah, Mike Trout kind of swing, only about £80 less joking. Hit for power. He's justice consistently around a 3 20 hitter here in the hit league. He's had a many as 33 points in one round, so he likes to go to opposite Field. Gets extra points for that, and when he gets into a rhythm, he will hit those steel targets up the middle. He's he's our most consistent interviewing those shots up the middle, takes the ball there, and that does it for Joe McGrath in this early round and now Nolan or Nellis just mentioning No one and no one's got a real powerful swing. The lefty, uh, and also its line drives. When he gets consistent, he gets on a roll. So he put up 33 points in an inning in their last week's competition, and Nolan for the first time, took the leader spot last week. So, um, should be a real battle today. Lots of good kids coming out of this area here in Southern California. A lot of kids that are destined for D one schools. And so there's no one there he goes. You just It went off the top of the net. Ah, hard shot will still be in out, just like in a baseball game. So some of these air really hard hit balls. But there's no points there. Next up, we have t me Johnson, another lefty. Timmy is a freshman at Santa Clara University and a lot of power. Very compact swing, and you can really see the difference between the college ballplayers in the high school ball players here. These kids, I learned a shortened their swing and really get short to the ball. Ah, partly because they're seeing a higher velocity pitch and they out of necessity, they have to shorten it up, but also they get a little stronger. They get a little more, uh, more. Ah, fast twitch and their swing. They're able to get to the ball faster just because physically, they're able to. Nice line drive. Jimmy likes to pull the ball a lot of shots there to the to the right side net, and he gets his three points consistently, So he will be one of the top scores today as well. And Jason Holt comes up. Jason is, Ah, freshman at Cal State Long Beach, Another big kid. You can see a lot of power here. He does some things a little different. You'll see him hitting a little bit more off the front foot, so you'll see him shift his weight before he releases his hands and he hits a ton. A lot of pop ups. He's still figuring out this game, so you will see him hitting a lot off the top net. And that might be a result of that front foot, the weight displacement. But, um, he has a lot of potential to cause he's he's smart and he has good control with his hands, so he will probably make some adjustments and we should see some things out of him over the course of the summer and one more cut here. And that ought to do it for Jason Bolt. I hope you folks are enjoying this. Stay tuned for more from the hitting network.
