think of the term Trailblazer. What kind of personalities to spring to mind. Maybe you think of someone like Carl Sagan or Jane Goodall. But perhaps you haven't heard of Katherine Johnson. Or maybe someone like Jerry Rose, Jocelyn Bell, Great River. Or what about even a young upstart like we're Show Valentine? I'm willing to bet college doesn't come to mind. All of these people are innovators and pioneers, and all of these people are trail blazers. A lot of work goes into putting things into space, not the least of which is the math. Katherine Johnson is the woman responsible for discovering the mathematical foundations of space travel. Born in 1941 Beckley, West Virginia, native Jerry Rose has become one of the most prolific dates instructors and choreographers in the United States. Credited with one of the most significant scientific achievements of the 20th century. Jocelyn Bell gave us a new understanding of stars and space spending. Nearly a decade as the world's only radio astronomer, Grow River built the very first radio dish telescope technology that's become widespread in Observatory's worldwide. Raised in New York City, Michelle Valentine is one of the youngest people to be considered an expert, according to the United States Chess Federation. What started as one lowly college in Campbell County, West Virginia, has flourished into a lively institution with many talented people at the Hells of their respective fields, Forcing university continues to change not only the area around it, but the world blazing every new trail one at a time.
