Welcome to Texas Tech University's K- 12 English Language Arts and Reading. Before you begin this class, let's take a moment to tour your virtual classroom. Each time you log on for a lesson, you will be brought here to the homepage. This page contains important information about TTUK- 12, helpful tips for learning success and an introduction to all the skills will be learning. In this semester. To the left of your home page, you'll see a left hand navigation menu. This menu contains links to the class syllabus where you can find information on course guidelines, instruct your contact information, quizzes and assignments and other helpful resources. You will also find the learning modules, your digital words, study notebook, your digital readers, notebook, discussion forums and your grade book a good place to find information on what to expect and how to succeed in this course is the getting started page. To begin your lessons, navigate to the learning modules page by clicking the link in your left hand navigation menu. Start with Mulele one complete the non graded assignment checkpoint one first. This is a virtual introduction to your instructor for the semester. You can use this opportunity to inform your instructor of anything that is relevant to your learning experience in this course. After you complete checkpoint one, you can begin to read the module introduction. This introduction will give you important information on what you will be learning as well as helpful strategies to proceed through the lessons throughout the semester. We will be using an e book called into reading Texas 4th grade. As we go through each of our lessons, you can find a link to the log in page in every module. Home page is a good practice to have one page open to your e book and one page open for your course here in black board. Are you ready to begin? Let's start with week one.
