One morning, as Gregor Samsa was waking up from a terrible nightmare, he discovered that overnight he had turned into a monstrous cockroach. He lay on his armor, clad back on saw, his brown arched abdomen divided into rigid, bow like sections. From this height, the blanket could hardly stay in place. His numerous legs, pitifully thin in comparison to the rest of his body, twitched helplessly before his eyes. What's happened to me? He thought. But it was no dream. The dreary weather made him quite melancholy. Why don't I keep sleeping for a little while longer and forget all this foolishness? Suddenly from downstairs, his mother called his name Gregor, time for Bragg first. But when Gregor tried to reply, all that came out of his mouth was a grotesque, squeaking noise on the words were strangled and indistinct. This'll was going to be a difficult day, he thought.
