a story of two monks, Tom and Bob helps illustrate how triangles form the archetypal patterns of our issues. One evening at the Monk cafeteria, Monk Bob inadvertently cut in front of Monk Tom in the dinner line. Monk Tom, being a monk, took it in stride. At least he thought he had. Upon awakening the next day, Mont Tom had a painful side ache. He immediately began making small figure eights in the air just above his liver. With his right hand with his eyes closed, he felt into the pain and recognize that the emotion behind the pain was anger. He also immediately recognized that the anger originated with the episode with Monk Bob. The prior evening, the Figure eight motion acted like a Mobius coil, which had the effect of cancelling out the negative energy he was experiencing in his liver. He also looked within himself until he found compassion for Monk Bob and for himself. Within a few minutes, the pain was gone, and he joined Monk Bob for breakfast with a genuine smile.
