This book is not about theology or clinical therapy in the matter of bereavement, although both play major roles for a lot of people when it comes to recovery from loss and death. Rather, this book is about helping people cross the bridge of grief to the path of peace. It does so less with religious sanctimony in MAWR, with real stories of people who have died well and left behind wiser survivors. Throughout these pages, I'll not only share about learning how to live with loss, but also the hope and promise found on the other side of the existence we know. Out of the corner of his eye, the president sees a member of the CNN crew running toward the girl with the shoulder mounted camera. The photographer sprints past a group of soldiers risking his life for a slam dunk Pulitzer. He films the entire way. The Spectators are acting more conservatively, but many are recording the event on their digital phones and cameras. The girl drops the can, and then the lighter she extends her arms. They're burning from thumb to thumb, she continues walking towards the president's limousine five meters from the back door. She executes 1/2 pirouette. She turns to the camera man and sticks a burning finger into her mouth. Her face ignites. She takes a deep breath, holds it and then exhales her throat, expels a torrent of fire. I was so fortunate to be introduced to the car business at a very young age and had no idea at the time the whirlwind of success the auto industry would afford me. It happened one day when I was four years old. We lived in Dublin, Ireland, in an area filled with row houses and Children. My mother was considered infertile because she only had six Children of her own when all the neighbors had 8 to 12 on average, my father owned a shipping container repair company, Lee and Sons, that repair the type of containers you see stacked 10 high on giant cargo ships headed toe unknown ports around the world. Gus met with John La Belle in a private conference room adjoining Gus is office. An hour earlier, the Traister merger had been publicly announced in the main conference room, the new try Stir and Sullivan lawyers formally presented and the synergy of the deal praised to the skies. By all concerned, La Belle had been loudly enthusiastic about Sullivan rejoining Bondoc, telling anyone who would listen. What a terrific litigator, the incoming partner, Waas, Now Bondoc was telling Labelle that Sullivan waas, in effect Lobel's replacement that after 15 years cuts wood like Labelle to clear out. To make things perfectly clear to all concerned, Sullivan would soon be moving into Lobel's cherished corner office, the vestige eo symbol of levels otherwise entirely faded. Status within bond ox firm. So Gus exhaled. That's it, John. No use crying over spilt milk we built. No, it's not working anymore. And with all the rest of the changes going on around here, it's just time to split the blanket, that's all. La Belle listened in disbelief.
