Description

This was recorded for an insurance event held in Barcelona for 1000 guests. I translated the original transcript (in Spanish) into English myself and I recorded it at a friend's studio. The intention was for an 'Amelie'-esque feel: playful, innocent, upbeat, cheerful and genuine.

there are those who choose fame and those who avoid it. Karma done is never had any interest in the lights and camera. Although she was always near them, she always knew how to keep out of the limelight, working in the shadows so that others could shine. Those who knew her praised her professionalism, a ver tune that turned her into the best artist assistant of the 20th century. Mhm karma. Dennis was of humble beginnings. Her father, senior Marco, ran a local barbershop in Barcelona. He wanted his daughter to learn the trade, but karma never had the interest nor skill. So she took care of simple tasks, shaved heads and bowl cuts. Despite not being very motivated by the work, she always got on with it. Happily enough, Karma enjoyed helping her father and more than anything, being able to spend the day listening to music on the radio baby. In the sixties, she ended up in Liverpool, hometown of her favourite singer, Billy Fury. For a while, she made a living cleaning the boxing club attended by this man, Brian Epstein, was an English gentleman looking for an assistant, and karma soon came to his attention She was resolute, hardworking and empathetic just what he was looking forward to keep in line. The four boys under his management, the Karma soon left her mark on the group. She took care of everything band whims, managing their egos, even escaping. The thousands of fans are full of them wherever they went. It's no wonder that at the time George Harrison responded, as he did when the question was put to him by a journalist. What's the secret of the Beatles success? Comma successes? Because comma rules are line. George is, in fact, referring to his assistant, though the press took it to be another load of mystic Harrison nonsense. The early death of Brian Epstein was the beginning of the end for the Beatles. Tensions were brewing among the band, and since karma didn't wish to take sides, she felt the chapter was coming to a close. Her credentials and work capacity meant the doors were wide open for her. In the industry, top artists fought over her. Karma was their palace. Mm. Wait. You ain't nothing but a hand dog. Yeah, stand by the mid eighties, when she found herself helping Bob Geldof organised a mega concert to raise money for Ethiopia and Somalia, she became gravely ill. Far from abandoning it, she decided that she would fight until the end. Many people's lives depended on this concert. She wanted it to be her legacy. Despite her illness, she boarded dozens of planes to convince representatives and artists, and many supported the venture because of her operation. Passing by Like Lady Godiva. The history of music would not be, as we know today had it not been for the commitment and dedication of so many anonymous professionals, a long list of names at the top of which is no doubt karma. Dan, it's yeah.
