We are the National Urban League, the nation's economic first responders for more than a century, with 90 affiliates providing direct services to over two million people annually. That means we are here. We're here on the ground across the nation to help people from all walks of life in communities with urgency, expertise and compassion. We are here to help families achieve and maintain financial stability with job training and financial literacy programs, education and mentorship initiatives, and supporting minority owned businesses and entrepreneurs. As a direct services organization, the National Urban League identifies the gaps and provide solutions with programs such as Project Ready offering after school mentorship in assistance for our youth, urban jobs in apprenticeship programs, providing job skills training. Tow our youth seniors formerly incarcerated and helping those interested in technology get and stay employed. Comprehensive housing counseling, delivering homeownership preparation and training courses, entrepreneurship centers, providing counseling, support and training for more than 60,000 businesses nationwide. We are here and ready to act in a time of unprecedented national crisis. We saw firsthand how the coronavirus affected black Americans at a highly disproportionate rate and we acted quickly and launched the Urban League fights for you. A national campaign to educate people about Cove in 19 and help restore hardest hit communities. We're here to mobilize our affiliate network to service distribution points for food and emergency supplies. We set up testing centers to bring vital screenings and awareness to our neighborhoods. And when the jobs went away, we went directly to Congress on behalf of black workers and business owners to make sure direct aid and other assistance programs went to our communities. And when our nation cries for equality, demands, unity and protest for change, we are here to fight racial injustice here with a police reform plan here with a voice to testify before Congress. Here, with programs like Make Black Count are 2020 cents is Participation Initiative and reclaim your vote Protest the power, our voter mobilization campaign, these air powerful tools that help ensure black voices air heard and push for real action that leads to substantial change. The National Urban League doesn't exist behind. The scenes in partnership with our affiliates around the country were on the front lines rooted in our communities and committed to improving the lives of people across the nation. We ask you to be here with us. Volunteer. Donate. Become a corporate partner because this is not a moment. This is a movement and the movement needs you. The work is not complete. The education and wealth gap is growing. The need has never been greater. And so we will remain here fighting training, supporting empowering communities and changing lives. We are the National Urban League.
