beauty is a path to God. Living in Florence for two years shed light on some of the shadow elements within me. I had never lived in a big city before, and it was a dramatic change from the small town college campus. That passionate Italian city breathed life into the cast off parts of my psyche, naturalness, creativity, embodiment and initiated a return to wholeness. There were the warm blooded dramatics of Italian street life, endless honking and congested, chaotic streets, raised voices and effusive gestures. And, of course, the proverbial pinching admits this human natural nous. There were historic sculptures on every street corner praising the divine. The place was resplendent with love and all its many forms.
