creating a good character is like studying the sun. You can't really learn a lot by looking right at it. Have a look around it. Have to see how it functions within its setting. Would you like to know how a character handles conflict? Pit stomach? It's the nemesis. How about how they function in relationships? Give them a love interest. You don't fully know a character by looking directly into their eyes. You have to see them through the eyes of the supporting characters. You want to make a good narrative, come from life, become a master stories behind the story.
