This is the session live from our palatial studios here in Los Angeles, California. Welcome to the show. If you've never done it before, where this is how it works, we're gonna play you What they call the stems, which is some of the individual tracks that make up some of the greatest songs in the history of music will tell you the stories about the song and ah, little trivia and useless information that you can boy friends and relatives with water cooler talk, as they say in the business. Yeah, and, uh, the, uh, this week it's are inestimable pleasure to do Vanilla Ice's ice ice, Baby. Hang on. That's not what we're doing. No, no, no. I hate I prepared the wrong So Michael's no terrible, terrible No, that's a lie. We're actually going to do this, which is Queen and David Bowie is under pressure. One of the greatest songs of all time, agreed two of the greatest vocalists of all time in one song and, uh, so many stories attached to this record. Yemen. And, uh, I've got some some news that just came out. That I will share a little bit later in the show is out some some other tracks that they may have recorded together during this session. Michael, that have not been released. I also have, ah, useless piece of trivia that I read this morning, which is that Vanilla ice is claiming that he actually bought this song from them. You know, I saw that so he could could explain why he got to use the sample and then they had a spokesman from the Queen Camp was like, Yeah, I got no idea what he's talking about. He's making stuff up. That's not true at all. All right, so this is from 1980 ones. Hot space record, which is it's not really a decried queen record, but it's not greatly appreciated. You should go and listen to it. It's one of the ones that I had when I was a kid, and it's got so many freakin hits on it, which is one of the things about this ban that we need to point out, Michael, before we start the actual breakdown of song. Everyone in this band wrote hits. That's true. I mean, that's and it's rare. Rare Expect. Like the drama Roger Taylor wrote under Pressure, One vision kind of magic and radio gaga. And he did most of the Flash Gordon the songs on that on that thing to the movie, which is a great movie. If you never seen John Deacon, the bass player wrote, You're my best friend. Another one bites the dust. I want to break free and he's the only one of the band to never sing on anything. Ah, and then, of course, Brian May wrote, uh, he wrote, We will rock you. I wanted all the theme song to Flash Gordon and Fat Bottomed Girls, which, when he asked when he was asked about what it was like to have ah, Freddie Mercury sing about fat bottom goes, he was like, Well, you know, I mean, it's theater. I mean, everybody's going, so we're gonna we're gonna dig into this now because it's just too good to ignore. A little lower to this one. All the separate bits. So we're gonna start with the sound of Roger Taylor just playing a high hat
