I awoke to the sound of scratching against the window. A crow with silky black feathers had patched itself on my window sill and was staring directly at me. It was the third hour of the day, and I refused to compel within me the urge to communicate such a lowly creature. So I closed my eyes and ignored the dark, hollow glare of the fiend outside. It's persistent cries, and the shop piercing sound of its beak against the glass was sufficient enough to annoy me and drive me from my bed. I avoided it, stare and blindly reach for the Cardassians. I caught a glimpse of its gaze, and the creature rigidly held me in place. Transfix spreads, I unable to flee. It took its chance to succumb me to its tail. It tilted its head and slowly opened its beak to speak. Memento Mori
