she dove underwater and felt the rage, the hate, the hunger of the leviathan. Now that she knew what to look for, she could see its claws, the one part of its body that wasn't invisible. Ely pushed herself through the water in powerful bursts, feeling like she was floating rather than swimming. She estimated where the leviathans long scaly neck was darted toward it and collided with something rough and scaly that knocked the wind out of her. She took another quick breath and wrapped her arms around. What she hoped was the creature's neck. The leviathan paused, then started to fling her about wildly through the water. Ely held on desperately, determined not to let go. She didn't know what she could do from here, but at least it wasn't attacking Lodo. The leviathan let out a weary won't as its movements grew sluggish. Ely squeezed tighter. Sharp claws reached toward her but only grazed her skin from above. Ely heard a warped yell. Anger flooded her mind, but she took a deep breath and reminded herself who and where she was. It was obviously upset at the turn this had taken, but she felt more than just his anger. She sensed his direction. He was angry that Lodo had managed to escape for the moment, but he was more enraged at the creature. Really gasped in a moment. She understood everything. Really let go of the leviathan. She shifted and reached out her hand to touch something. Maybe the creature's head photo started at the sound of sorts, sudden outburst. His eyes seemed to be ablaze as he stared into the water. Then, with hardly a sound, he slipped beneath the surface himself, racing so quickly that Lodo had trouble following him without stopping, Zorich plowed straight into Ely, knocking her several feet away. Murmurs of concern rose up all around him. It was strange how these people went from deadly quiet. Too eager whispers in moments really quickly recovered and swam back towards or it, but he was obviously much stronger than she was just before she reached him. He did a somersault and kicked his feet into her stomach. Ely flew toward the surface with a trail of bubbles behind her, tensed his muscles ready to spring into the water after her. But he realized that he'd taken his eyes off the leviathan now. There was no telling where it was for all he knew it could be just below him, ready to strike
