I'd always wanted to travel the world at large. Something about our world just reeked of hidden secrets and lies. Everything felt far too normal and pristine. One thing that caught my attention was the rumor practically legend of a lost island off the coast. Some old texts make mention of it certain old relics from an area that archaeologists just can't pinpoint ****. Even the earth itself seems to point towards it as scans of the area indicate the ground beginning to rise as though it was supposed to lead up to something. This has always fascinated me ever since I was young and I was bound and determined to solve the mystery. I gathered my few belongings, my trusty companion Robot, and bought myself a boat. I intended to search this area for myself. When I reached the coast, something odd happened. A police boat told me to turn around immediately. I guess they somehow tracked my movements. This only made me more curious than I was willing to risk it all. My boat was faster and I sped off towards my destination. Over the horizon I noticed them hundreds if not thousands of massive military carrier ships forming some kind of barrier around seemingly nothing. The ****'s even out here to warn this level of protection. I weighed the pros and cons and decided it's now or never full speed ahead. I charged into what would become an onslaught of gunfire from the ships. We took heavy damage, even got nicked by a few shots, but in the end I was simply too fast for them. I shot between two of the carriers and before I could celebrate I felt nauseous. My vision started to leave me and I passed out cold. When I woke up I was on a beach of an unfamiliar place. The sky was cold, black, no stars, no moon, nothing, only a migraine. In the sounds of the waves lapping at the shore line, I looked up and saw an odd sight, tall black buildings as far as the eye can see. This place looked ancient compared to the modern world I was born into almost like I got shot back in time I stepped out onto the black into sand. My robotic companion perched himself on my shoulder. This was my goal. Now it's time for the investigation.
