Welcome back to Kenya Weekly podcast. My name is Anna. Sticky progress. Um, Archie and I am your host for this beautiful journey. I hope you had an amazing week with your goals and plans for the month. Like we talked about last week, I hope everything is moving on smoothly. I believe it's all going on well. And even if it doesn't look like it is, you can pause, evaluate, make new plants and move over here. We say we move. It is slang for continuing ahead, moving ahead when things don't go as planned, you get south breakfast. Break up. You didn't meet up with plant. You fail the test of one example we move now. This is not a sign to be non talent or no care about things you're supposed to take care of. But you don't get beat down. You don't get stuck there. You don't get remain where you are because things just didn't move on. So when we say we move, we mean you move forward, you progress. You pick up from the past to pick up the mistakes and make progress from there. You know, things to avoid Now, Now it's Easter week, and I want to enlighten you on how Africans, Nigerian people specifically, or questions rather celebrated Easter celebrations are very important to Christians. In Nigeria. There are no Easter eggs or bunnies. Instead, Easter is a time family members travel from far and wide, so the family can be together to celebrate. Nigerians like to eat special foods. To mark this to it's like a family party. Lots of delicacies, different kind of delicacies. Families prepare special rise with accessories and take care with special drinks, of course, its special location. So you wouldn't expect anything less, but more especially. It's time to bond. It's a time to get to know where you're from. Your room. It was the time for me to explore more. My dad usually take us to the village there, and we get to interact more with the people that stay there. You get to see how things are done because it's also part of the farming season, right? So you get to experience things firsthand. That really helped a lot. Easter is also a good period to organise concert, especially since we are very sure many people are free because of work. You're going to be free from work. It's a holiday. Both gospel and secular musicians organise concerts during Easter and Nigerians troop in to enjoy themselves. Many musicians also see Easter as an opportunity to cash out. I mean, basically, I believe every season has an opportunity to make something out of it. So yeah, people use. They start to make massive, massive sales. It is also a vacation period. Like I said, it doesn't really mean one has to travel out of the country. Some people don't have to wait till Christmas to travel to their home towns. They take the Easter trip and leave the hustle and bustle of the city to go enjoy some peace and quiet in their hometowns while celebrating Easter with their folks. So I'd love to know which this is. The traditions in Nigeria is similar to yours. And as a Nigerian in diaspora does your family observed this as well? What kind of practises will have opponents during Easter in your area? Also which one are you able to observe? This year I will be travelling to the village of my mom. Yes. I was going to my hotel, the British Easter with my friends, my family most especially my family. But before I go, I would love to enlighten us with a new Hebrew word. Our able word for the day is, if Banana spelled as i f u n a n Y A. It means love. It sounds like some people already know that it's a pretty popular word, so it means different things to different people. But I would love to put it to you that most things we do most of the things we do are driven by love and everyone on earthquakes to be loved. So I suspend your week in one or many ways should love to someone, thank you so much for listening and do have a great week God.
