Unfortunately, there's a decline in outdoor activities these days. The national archery in the schools program is trying to fix this. NATPE makes archery part of the school curriculum, which increases their participation in shooting sports. Many students get so involved they go on to compete and even pursue other outdoor recreational activities. As a result, it also improves their educational performance. In fact, 58% of NATPE kids feel more connected with their school experience and 40% work harder. Because of the program, NATPE seeks to recruit and retain students and outdoor activities and ultimately reactivate them later in life. Many students who are completely unaware of the fun and enjoyment of the outdoor lifestyle become introduced along the way through NATPE and discover so much about themselves in the process.
