In a wild yet taken normally, a female Siberian tiger will patrol the territory of almost 1000 square kilometres to hunt, and she has to do so to find enough prey in this sparse, impoverished land. But right now, this young female has a secret that's keeping her closer to her den. Her two cubs are almost three months old now, and although their appetites a ravenous, they're still wholly dependent on her for survival. The misty boreal forest provides very little nourishment for the mother and her babies, and she must leave them for periods to find food. The cubs are growing quickly and, with the weather warming, are brave enough to venture out of their den.
