we're a year and a half into remote presentations as the norm and people have gotten pretty skilled at it, but there are still mistakes I'm seeing crop up over and over sometimes from people who you'd think would know better because there's nothing like standing in front of a group of really engaged people and bringing them something valuable, something that moves them, something that leaves them better equipped to tackle the world than when they walked into that room. There's nothing like being there and if you're thinking, but I'm not an expert, I'm going to take a backseat to the people who spent their lives understanding and studying the issue I completely understand. But here's the thing that respect that you have for expertise, for actual experience, for rigorous research, for conscientious and systematic thinking. That same respect is the reason the rest of us need you to use your platform. There is the old joke about how many therapists it takes to change a light bulb, and first the light bulb has to want to change. That's perfect. Yes. Yes.
