My name is Heather Matthews and I'm 33 years old, sobriety date, august 28th 2009. I was born in a home I never asked for. Both of my parents were addicts and their demons became mine. All the things I said, I would never do in addiction. I did them stealing, lying, overdosing, I could go on, then I got arrested, I thought God had forgotten about me. I never imagined I would find him in jail, turns out God goes to jail too, addiction had robbed me of self worth. I got it back by completing my treatment programs and committing my life to christ.
