Partly one day I was standing outside my home, this is way back about close to nearly about 30 years ago. And here comes along with a stall. Fair, good looking guy. Uh he was a very good friend of mine in those days. He was a little new as a friend when he comes along and he says hi hi brother, carol alibi, how are you brother and stuff? So he says uh it's close to about 7 38 in the evening and he's almost as if he's wanting to rush back home. So he says, he says, what do you, what is it that you want brother? He says, well, you know, it's a long way off And uh can you buy me a cigarette? I don't have much money in those days. We used to have things like 15 and 10% and stuff in India. So he says, um can you buy me one or give me the money? I'll go. And I said no, no, it's okay, I'll buy you a full pack. No worries at all. You can smoke as much as you want. It's a long way off biases. So I just thought I'm a little embarrassed, you got his chin almost hanging in his chest. So anyway, he's happy Francis along. And he goes, and the next day I get up out again and uh I see again close to 7:30 a.m. In the morning, like I'm gonna say hello brother. Why so early? He says no, no, no, are you having a party today, Right? I said yes, of course, you know about it. So he says uh my brother, I don't have any appropriate stuff to wear in the evening. I said that's okay. It's an informal party, you can wear whatever you want. Just a t shirt and jeans or something would be fine. He says okay, can I have a look at your wardrobe? I said, yeah, come along. I opened the cupboard, he goes through the stuff and he just picks up one really bright yellow colored canary. I said hello, do you really feel you should be wearing this? Yeah, I'll stand out and start wearing this yellow t shirt. I said okay great, you got a point. So the guy comes along, he wears it and he does a little bit of a jig in the, you know, the mirror and stuff. He's happy, I'm happy about it. He just goes along and comes in the evening, enjoys the party and he's pretty happy about it. The thing is that it's uh this, a friend of mine today has done well for himself at that time. You know, frugal days, simple, but it was different today. He's settled, he joined the Merchant Navy, he became a master, the guy's married and stuff like that and he settled, I mean hats off to the people that have really worked hard to achieve something in their life. We all used to have frugal days. We all, I mean there have been times that people didn't have food to eat or anyhow the guy is settled and everything is good for him and I'm hats off and hooray to all you guys that have done so well in their lives and settled.
