The Deer Park Hotel, where spring water was first bottled, provided rest, relax, ation and refreshment. For explorers, the Appalachian Trail is a symbol for the Explorer spirit from the past. Until today, it's what unifies the culturally and geographically vast Deer Park region. The Deer Park Hotel is a model for a whole host of establishments that support travelers during their time on the trail. Our human instinct is to explore our natural surroundings. Call us. It's in our d and egg. But as we evolve, we dive into virtual worlds. We like Retweet and tic tac our time away. This, along with economic, social and climate pressures, are forcing the establishments that support the trail to close. But we can make a difference. It is our duty to protect the natural wonders of our region and our desire to explore them. That's why in 2021 we are thrilled to announce the Deer Park Explorers project. We will expand upon existing partnerships. We will preserve the institutions that defined this region by granting them the funding they need to flourish. We will establish our Deer Park Trail troop, a group that we use our platform to promote thes historic institutions encourage people to come back to the trail, make sure they have a great experience and are inspired to return because to adventure is to find yourself whole. And Deer Park is a steward of exploration in the Appalachian region.
