When I was young, I was weightless. I sailed through life as if nothing would stop me. But not all dreams are meant to last soon. The winds would change and my momentum would slow. Life itself would overtake the pure joy of those soaring days. Those feelings of unhinged freedom, all but faded. Somebody told me that the sky was gods and everything in it. If that's true, then where is he? Now? The field would never look the same. But maybe it wasn't meant to, maybe it wasn't the field that changed, but maybe it was me. Maybe I've always been changing. But is it possible that the child of faith is still in there? Somewhere buried deep inside, longing to be free looking to walk to run to soar again. I lift my eyes to the heavens.
