dear son, I've never been one to say much words have never been my strength and even holding you as a baby in my arms. I remember the words escaping me for how I felt about you. So I will do my best and write this down and hope that it will give you comfort and guidance in your life as it has for me and mine. My father was a farmer just like his father before him. We've always been good stewards of the land. For us, farming is a way of life. But it's gotten harder enclosed in this small metal box you will find an acorn. Now listen to me. This acorn is but a symbol somewhere under the litter of leaves in the woods, in the angle of a fallen log or in the tilled soil of a garden, an acorn is dreaming of becoming an oak tree competition. Years of drought, shrinking profits have made things tougher. You know, sometimes I really worry about what the future of this is gonna look like from what you're inside. He's a big part of what keeps us working hard around here. You may not understand all of this until you are older. But I want to share with you the lessons I've learned through my life's experiences, my triumphs and my failures. I love this place is where I grew up. Uh, it's a big part of who I am, you know.
