Hi, goody. Good evening, everyone. Welcome to my podcast of movie review off Sylvester Stallone's fifth Rambo movie, The Last Blood. Now it's It's a It's an interesting movie. It, um, could I say Let's let's start, Let's hear the bet that's breaking the bad news and then the good news. First of all, like any Sequels, Sequels tend to be a bid old. And, um, they're trying to re rehash and to revive something which I think should have been let best left alone and in many. And I think in this case, Rambo's last blood Sylvester really trees trying to pull outs to pull out a story that really should have been. I think overall, I should have been left left the rest. But okay, nevertheless, there are. We'll see it that the good news we'll see after we'll tell you some some positives to meet some positive things that maybe came out of this, in my opinion. Now here we have Rambo as a in his 10 10 year, um, vacation, so to speak here on the ranch and here. One of the things one of the the it was a bit of Ah, if you look at the story line there was it wasn't really done in very deep way. I think it was kind of like more of the special effects. And Ram the Rambo, um, military genius that really was the you will see in the movie is really what's the concentration I think of of the director, um, in the act and the actors was really that was the primary, um, effect, at least that seeing the boss, the box office, I think that's really what was. It's not a work of art. And in fact, most reviewers would say it's a bit of a trash. And his worst movie, The Five. This is the last of fifth of the Rambo Siri's. Some of the things that I think in the neck from the negative, um, from my from a let's say, a visual point of view is Rambo's use of violence, and the director and the producer of this film, which I understand, was Sylvester Stallone himself was there were points in the movie which were really weren't necessary. I think that's the over the strong scenes of violence and bloodshed of the kept decapitation, which I think really didn't give any positive or effect to the actual punch line. There was really this was it. Had it had its its plot, the plot was fairly weak, Um, and could have been left alone. I think for from that, from that point of view was it was just too gory and gutsy. I think think it might have turned off some people and maybe in some of the reviewers did not really go for that anyways. And, um, also, it's a bit. We see Rambo, but we works. We expect Rambo to be from from seeing previous movies Pretty Smart King, tough guy and, um, and one thing I must say, That's the thing that's consistent with the Rambo movies. If you think about it, is that here's Rambo it. Rambo's personality is one of complete independence and roughness. Okay, meaning to say that he'll do whatever he wants to do, and he likes to do it himself, has this big ego, and that definitely flows into this last movie. The problem is, I understand that you know what we there was the mentality and the smartness wasn't consistent in the movie, in the end will see that it is, but in least in the in the beginning of the movie, where he puts himself in a situation where he tries to *** all the bad guys were talking about in where he presents himself in front of the gang and the, um of 20 to 30 enemies in a group in the big gang in the gang. And that's not a smart move. And it's like almost like he fell right into it. So it's kind of a strange I feel scenario. Here's Rambo, Mr Courage, but he lacks the sense to go find himself to fight against a Should have been, if you really wanted to be. I mean, he's very again Is his ego got in his way? If you want to say that, you should've got a bigger force. But listen, you need to go into walk into Mexico with a big force. Wouldn't have been so smart. Um, but another thing, Um, but that then the positive point. I must say there are a few positive things from the movie. First of all, he does. The Rambo comes, comes alive a certain aspect of personnel of his of a set of ah special personality that he opens up helping himself up, showing that he does have some kind of sympathy in some kind of maturity in his reaction and his interplay with the woman, the woman in the house who's, uh, her friend, his friend that is in charge of the house, and the grand grand daughter Gabriella, who's really is the one that Rambo takes on, as in it as a volunteer adopted niece, even though it was a blood needs but for of, ah, Godfather niece, if you want to call it that, and Rambo, which tries to show this element, tries to develop. And I think that was the was a challenge for Stallone to develop that character, where in the mist of maybe there really showing that they're really in the middle of the inside of this, this Rambo off of tough skin and military force and G I Joe, there's some special inner hero, their hero and someone who can make things go right and set set some some life life lessons. So we see that's something that's I think there was some development of that in the in the beginning of the movie. Of course, as time goes on, we see that? Um, I think everyone who really likes Rambo I mean, that is what his his main thrust is is his military force, his military genius and of guerrilla warfare. And I think I like that. It was like an adult version of home alone with all that the booby traps and contraptions, including the especially the actual, um um underground, Um, um, paths that Rambo had as a hobby, was able to now use to take himself and to make to take revenge on Gabriel is death. So I mean, it was it was done. I think that was done. Well, it's, I think all in all that's like those people what people were looking for. When you watch this movie, they're looking for some kind of excitement. So Okay, it had that excitement element to it. And I think overall that is, um, there's one thing I must say that there are one of the main I think comments that I think other reviewers were took upon themselves is to show that the Rambo was anti was prejudice, racial against Mexicans against Ah, I think that I don't really see how honest I didn't really see that in the movie. I mean, it just so happened to be that the Mex that makes the Mexicans at least the cartel here, this this gang they happen to be in Mexico was so I don't think that Rambo was was himself prejudiced against Mexicans. I think it was just He was loyal, true and true and true. And, um, I think that's something that was that that that we have to give some credit for it. I mean, I don't I think there's something minimal about that. Um, and I think also the story line of the father that left Gabriel Gabriel, his father that that left in that scene was I think was ah was also very true. I think today that people do are live a strange life, and sometimes they and I think that people do one off go into their past. I think that's there's something about that about that scene and about in general, about the whole story line of trying to find out why the father had left years earlier. And, um, Gabriella had to face the facts and face the truth and clear that clear that area. So what number would I give Rambo's last blood. I guess I would give it a five or six. Um, I think that's again, um, big it was again. It was a bit violent. That storyline wasn't so deep, but overall there was. There was an attempt to create create Rambo as a full, more full human being and personality. And, of course, we enjoy those type of ah, of agility and ah, smartness that Rambo showed in his again in his independent way to take on the whole are forcing this. Luckily, this time he was able to do it, um, single handedly in a successful way. So go see the movie if you like. If you like the Rambo, it's I think you have. There's Whatmore is what to take from it. And I think you'll enjoy it. And, um overall. And, um, thank you for joining me and, uh, looking forward to to meeting you under my next movie review
