every night I took my son in his bed and wish him a good night's sleep even though I know that he'll eventually wake up with us in bed. He's getting away to make to let us stress that night. So I explained to him that he needs to stay in bed all night. He looked at me scared and said, I can't dad. He comes out at three AM and Wakes me up. Who wakes you up? I asked the man that lives under my bed, He punches the bed from underneath as a warning before coming out. I knew this was just a ploy for him to keep sleeping with us and told them when this man punches your bed tonight, you tell him that you're not afraid of him and that if he keeps messing with you, your dad is going to beat him up. He smiled and nodded. Later that night we finished watching a movie and he fell asleep. I put him to bed and looked under the small kids bed just to be sure, couldn't see more than toys and a pair of shoes The next day he didn't sleep and out better at all. It was great since my wife had an artist city work engagement and she and I needed a big crest while having pancakes. Right after she left, I asked my son how it felt to sleep like a big boy. He laughed really excitedly and said it felt good when I felt scared. I yelled, my dad is going to beat you up and he's not afraid of you. Everything was quiet after that. I smiled and said I was proud of him. Later that day I put him to bed and finally got some rest. That is until I was awakened a few minutes ago by something punching under my bed.
