The Mash-Up is an all-new voice-activated smart blender. It reads custom recipes out loud, so users can prepare a smoothie or sauce without the need to search for a recipe. The Mash-Up also features numerous voice-activated blend speeds and settings, and it plays upbeat music to counter that roaring blender sound.

This internet video ad depicts somebody going through the motions as they start their day: hitting snooze on their alarm, struggling to climb out of bed, and dragging themselves to the kitchen. However, their Mash-Up blender provides an uplifting experience—and a delicious beverage—that lifts their mood.

Art Direction:
We’re looking for the voice of a girl or guy next door.

This commercial follows a character who is initially grumpy and kind of reluctant to start their day, but as the read progresses, they gain more energy and positivity. By the time you get to the third line, beginning with “The Mash-Up,” we want your read to exude spirit and cheerfulness.

At the same time, this ad is introducing a brand new product and its technical features, so clarity in the script read is favored.
