unhappiness when his parents, separated 10 years ago, forced him and his mother to go and live with her family in an overcrowded house on the other side of town. In deep, he soon turned to drugs and crime to help relieve his growing depression. But the drugs couldn't eliminate the deep Depression 15 year olds officer was experiencing in an unwelcome environment. The increasing emotional weight, compounded by the absence of his father, eventually became too much for him to carry, so he tried to kill himself. According to the South African Depression and Anxiety Group, most suicides can be prevented. Spearheaded by Zane Wilson, the group has 90 support groups nationwide, as well as a suicide line, which provides advice to teens.
