Born and raised in a small town, rigged by indigence in the destitute Northern Cape, Danile
Tshazibane did not let his environment hinder him, instead he let it define him.
When one finds themselves in such situation, there are merely two options at hand; you get
comfortable or you fight to get out.

The latter is exactly what Danile has done, after defying
the odds and excelling in his Matric results he managed to not only apply but get accepted
into the prestigious Creative School of Economy, AFDA.

However, what he didn’t realize was that getting into the school was the easy part. The hardship
came knocking on his door when he had to face the harsh reality of walking 2 hours (17km) just to
get to class every day, this coupled with his crippling financial status meant that he had days when
he went to bed with an empty stomach. Despite all of these grievances, he managed to show up on
time for class, participated and kept a positive mind set knowing that humble beginnings mean
greater things are to come.

Indeed greater things did come, an employee at AFDA Brian Sukers sympathised with Danile’s
situation and offered him not only accommodation, but transport money and the occasional meal.
Because his life motto is, “Practice makes progress and progress makes perfect” the peace of
mind allowed him to not only focus on his studies, but harness his film editing skills, carve his mark
in the digital universe through his Youtube channel which houses more than 150 videos
conceptualized and edited by him, along with exploring his musical ear by recording and mastering
over 30 songs.

If he did this solely because of his peace of mind on accommodation, imagine what he could do
knowing that his school fees has been payed off completely. He is currently funded through a loan
granted to him by The Northern Cape Premieres Education Trust Fund which covers 90% of his

The remaining 10% is the reason you are reading this. When one comes from a family
where both parents are unemployed, 10% of tertiary tuition is a larger than life amount of money
therefore this is a plea from a young man who continues to make the impossible possible and
would like your assistance to change his life, so he can change the world.
