It’s Tha Hitman, (originally Arlington Akins, son of legendary DJ Master Blaster) was born October 24, 1987 in Goulds, Florida. Soon enough at the age of four, he began his passion for singing with the church choir. Shortly after that, turning five he was involved in school plays, not only singing but acting. In his transition from child to teenager he became more serious and developed the interest to compose and write his own music. Not only was this talented teenager writing, singing, and performing; but also competing in talent shows, citywide competitions, and a part of the school’s chorus. In tenth grade Hitman was part of a five member music group named X- Factor. The group got their name out there by performing in different school functions, the Martin Luther King Parade, and Washington D.C. X-Factor was almost signed by Sony Records, due to complications it did not work out. Hitman was highly influenced by The Temptations, Michael Jackson, 2 Pac, and Sam Cook just to name a few. Hitman has achieved many of his goals; not only as an artist but personal as well.
Hitman's music can only be described as REAL music in our generation as well as for generations to come. Hitman fuses hip hop and R & B to form feel good and emotionally conscious records. His musical content is filled with witty explanations about everyday life experiences we all go through, with a twist of storytelling scenarios. His first single ELECTRIFYING, is nothing more than a record about that beautiful superwoman that every man desires and every woman wants to be or is. It was a record designed to let the people out there know, life is not all about degrading our woman. With every record, especially ELECTRIFYING, HITMAN vows to put his heart into each record, so after hearing each song you can feel like you actually know him. People like records they can relate to, even if you can't relate to something he speaks about, but you'll at least understand his way of thinking. Hitman just finished his album, and is currently in the studio working on his second mix tape, due sometime in the beginning of 2010.
