About Rachel Roberts

Overview

I am an artist and a writer and I enjoy singing. I attended art school for two years, where I majored in animation. Growing up, all I ever wanted to be was an animator and a writer. I have always loved animated television shows and movies because the ability that animation writers have to not only envision their world, but literally create it with their own hand, has always fascinated me.

Having the opportunity to play the part of a beloved character on a television show would be incredibly fulfilling because giving your character a voice is one of the most important parts of the story, and because the completion of any good story requires collaboration, my role as voice would allow me to contribute in a significant way.

At art school I realized that my dream is to create stories; characters, worlds, conflicts--the whole shebang. The animating I prefer to leave to my peers. In the creative field, a story can be made up of any medium, and everything and everyone has one, that's why we love them so much.

I find that the books I read come to life when I put myself in the characters shoes. The same goes for voicing a character appearing on a screen, or playing the role of narrator. Having the ability to voice a character allows me to become the character. Not only am I able to bring someone else's story to life, I myself am inserted into the story, and that makes the story that much more entertaining.

At twenty three, my goal is to find any way I can to associate with creative people, and keep my own creative juices flowing. There are so many ways to fulfill one's dreams, and getting to play a part in other people's stories will inspire me to continue striving to create my own; both my fictional stories and my real one.

I love working with people, especially creative people, and I'm looking forward to working with people who share my passion for creating stories and storytelling.

Please, let me bring your stories to life!
