DUAL AUDIE AWARD FINALIST 2012
"PUBLISHER'S WEEKLY, March 2012 writes: "Maurice England delivers folksy, everyman narration...down to earth...extremely easy to listen to."
Narrating 100+ Audiobooks since 2007; narration, including documentaries, is where I've devoted most of my current voice over career, Beginning April 7, 2014, I'm continuing my narration work, while diversifying into other Voice-Over genres that have held my interest in the past.
Commercially, as a Wilford Brimley type; my voice is warm, folksy, reassuring, believable, subtly southern, yet authoritative. It can be friendly, brassy, mid-western, or southern country for anything needing that good down home feeling. My first commercial voice over coach cast me as "The Poor Man's Wilford Brimley." Without typecasting me too tightly, take a listen and see what you think.
Over 7 years experience narrating faith-based non-fiction has cultivated my natural ability to communicate from the heart....to the heart. That's my God given gift. If your message deserves to be heard, allow me the opportunity to make your point. Let's do some image building together.

Our company first hired Maurice as an independent contractor in 2010 to narrate a book for us. Since then he has narrated a dozen more. This year two of his books were nominated for the prestigious Audie awards, two out of over 1200 submissions. Maurice is always punctual if not early on his completion of projects. It is with confidence and trust that I hire Maurice.Eric White: Production Manager at Christian Audio
At both Oasis Audio and christianaudio we hired Maurice as a narrator of many audiobooks. He consistently poured himself into the work...never just "showing up" for the paycheck. His two Audie nominations in 2012 are testament to the quality of the end product, but also to the process.Dan Balow: Publisher at Oasis Audio and Christian Audio
Marty has narrated more than a dozen titles for our audiobook imprint, christianaudio. He has done so with expertise, care for the subject material, and in the time and budget requested. Our business is thankful and better because of the work Marty has done.Todd Hoyt: Owner, Christian Audio and eChristian
Working with Marty England over the years, I’ve come to know him as a sincerely committed and uniquely gifted performer. Empathy and intelligence guide his narration, infusing it with authenticity — whether the material is inspiring or funny, instructive or heart-rending, gentle or urgent. His two recent Audie Award nominations witness further to his talent.Judith West:Producer, Director, Coach, and Narrator at Media Transitions
Marty’s personality and spirit are as warm and genuine as his voice. And few narrators work as hard to assure clients’ happiness with his results.
I've had the opportunity of hiring Maurice for multiple book projects over the past few years. He has a very distinct, warm, and inviting voice. His care for our books is meticulous. He lives and breathes each book and completely immerses himself in them. This, in turn, makes for high quality audiobooks. He's also one of the friendliest and warmest narrators that I have gotten to know.Brad Hill: Producer at Brilliance Audio and Zondervan
Marty is always 100% committed from the start and is very reliable in getting his narrations completed on time and in stellar fashion. I think what I enjoy most about working with Marty is knowing that no matter what project I give him, he makes it matter to him so in turn, his voice not only communicates the author's message, he sounds invested from the first second.Leslie Krueger: Producer and Production Manager at Oasis Audio
"Maurice England delivers folksy, everyman narration...down to earth...extremely easy to listen to. Would that more narrators of religious audio read like England.""Publisher's Weekly" March 2012
