Experience

I've been connecting with audiences for over 25 years by providing narration for documentaries and promotional videos; serving as an "on hold" voice; recording books for a radio reading service for blind and visually impaired persons; emceeing fundraisers and awards presentations; and providing stadium PA for football, basketball, baseball and soccer games (I was named the "2011 High School PA Announcer of the Year" by the National Association of Sports Public Address Announcers).

Twenty five years of classroom teaching in graduate level physical therapy courses helped me learn to connect with an audience. It gave me me a solid grasp of medical terminology / concepts and helped me perfect the art of making complex subjects accessible, interesting and understandable to a lay audience. I earned the Chancellor's Award for Outstanding Classroom Teaching from the University of Kansas in 2000.
