My interest in the creative arts began at an early age and was fostered by love and support from my family members. Before leaving elementary school I had played the lead role in two plays and also narrated “The Thrill of the Orchestra” with the Toledo Symphony for two straight years. In junior high and high school, I focused on playing in the marching and concert band, honing my sense of rhythm and rising to percussion section leader in the process. I also got a taste of theater working backstage on eight high school drama productions, including six as a stage manager or assistant stage manager.
More recently, I have worked on several passion projects with a longtime friend that resulted in providing all of the character voices for an animated short film called “Beautiful Day.” My friend and I also co-hosted a short-lived podcast that was available on iTunes called “Things That Are True.”
Professionally, during a summer communications internship at the Toledo Museum of Art, I developed ideas for and hosted “ArtScene,” a weekly segment on Channel 13 ABC’s Sunday morning news program. While working for the Portland Timbers professional soccer team in Portland, Oregon, I was featured as a regular guest on the “Inside Soccer” radio program featuring Brian Halliday and Brian Quinn, a halftime guest on the Timbers match broadcasts, and provided color commentary for the 2008 Oregon High School Athletic Association boys and girls varsity soccer finals.
Ready to make the jump into professional voice-over work, I have recently completed a 32-week training course with SuchAVoice and have recorded both narrative and commercial demos, which are available to listen to on this site. My voice is warm, engaging, friendly and provides a guy-next-door feel that is ideally-suited for any commercial or narrative work.
