I am from Oklahoma, but I do not have an "Okie" accent. In fact, I have been told by those meeting me for the first time that I have almost no accent at all. However, I can do several different accents, including Southern American (Mississippi, Texas, etc.), British, French, German, and several others. If I listen to a sample of a particular accent, I can usually imitate it very well. I am 28 years old, therefore have a rather young-sounding voice. However, I can imitate almost any age group very well, including child, teen, middle-age, senior, and even female voices. I can make my voice sound a variety of different ways, if different character voices are needed in a project. Finally, my pronunciation of words is, I believe, as clear as anyone's you will find in the voice over field. If, when I am reading, I stumble over or mispronounce a word, I naturally re-read that passage. Also, I always keep a dictionary handy just in case I come across a word that I am unsure how to pronounce.
