I am from Oklahoma, but I do not have an "Okie" accent. In fact, I have been told by those meeting me for the first time that I have almost no accent at all. However, I can do several different accents, including Southern American (Mississippi, Texas, etc.), British, French, German, and several others. If I listen to a sample of a particular accent, I can usually imitate it very well. I am 28 years old, therefore have a rather young-sounding voice. However, I can imitate almost any age group very well, including child, teen, middle-age, senior, and even female voices. I can make my voice sound a variety of different ways, if different character voices are needed in a project. Finally, my pronunciation of words is, I believe, as clear as anyone's you will find in the voice over field. If, when I am reading, I stumble over or mispronounce a word, I naturally re-read that passage. Also, I always keep a dictionary handy just in case I come across a word that I am unsure how to pronounce.

I have a great deal of practical experience, probably more than many in the voice over field. I have been reading audiobooks for about ten years now. Most of the books I have read have been on at least a college level, and some, such as the stories of H. P. Lovecraft are probably beyond a college level. The books I have read have been both fiction and non-fiction, and have covered a wide variety of categories and subject material from Christian fiction, to science fiction, to humor, to young adult fiction. Furthermore, I have listened to literally hundreds of audiobooks over the past several years, and have been gleaning hints and tips from professional narrators on how to perform. So, to conclude, I have been honing and refining my skills for about ten years. I would add, also, that I am my own harshest critic, and do not quit on a project until I am satisfied it is perfect.
I am a high school graduate, and have taken two years of college.
I am willing to do any kind of project as long as there is no swearing, blasphemies ("Oh my God", etc.), sexual matter or the like in the material. I am a Christian, and therefore could not in good conscience read anything containing such subject matter. I have spoken with a (Website hidden) agent, and he assured me that this kind of subject matter seldom, if ever, comes up. As far as my reading equipment, I have access to a professional recording studio. Though I have the basic knowledge and understanding of how the recording equipment functions, I leave most of the operation of the recording equipment, fine tuning of the material, sending of the MP3 files and the like to the man who runs the studio. He has had many years of recording experience, and works with recording artists from all over the United States.
