Jessica Hood is a Vancouver based theatre and voice-over artist. She has trained as an actor since the age of 12 and she brings her extensive character technique into every script, making each read honest and believable. Having worked with directors of all styles and attitudes, she has become a skilled listener and collaborator, ready to take your project to the next level. She is also an accomplished singer, having studied for the past 11 years the styles of opera, choral, musical theatre, jazz, and pop.
Her voice has been described as bright, energetic, sweet, and strong. Her voice falls into the North American West Coast category and she is adept at a variety of accents as well as quickly learning new ones, so that her read can be tailor-made to your region and customer base. Her signature voices for animation are young girls and boys, between the ages of 5 and 10.

I loved Jessica's clear soprano voice the moment I heard it. She recorded a few songs for my record Voices of Chernobyl and I could not be more pleased with the results.Elliot Vaughan
