My speaking voice is mid- to upper-alto, and has been described as warm, calming, pleasant, and soothing. Years of teaching English and recording pronunciation-focused podcasts means that my enunciation is very clear, yet without the awkward pauses that over-enunciation can create. My Mandarin pronunciation and tones are both excellent, and I can speak with or without the Beijing "er-hua."
When working, I am focused and disciplined, and dedicated to correctly creating the effect that my employer has in mind. My experience working with radio stations, educational podcasts, and live calls has given me a degree of flexibility that I believe will be beneficial in any new environment, and I learn procedures and practices quickly. While most of my previous experience has been in-studio, I am also open to working remotely.
Most of my experience has been focused on recording podcasts for English language learners, but I have also worked in areas like political marketing and IT phone support.Read More
