Kathleen Puls Andrade is a professional actor, improviser, voiceover, and writer for fifteen years, with numerous voiceover and on camera credits to her name.
Kathleen created and currently teaches the Beginning Voiceover for Improvisers and Advanced Voiceover programs at the Second City, Chicago. The program uses improvisation as a tool to making creative decisions on the spot. She also teaches workshops such as Pitch Your Project as well as The Voice Actor's Bootcamp, for Second City Training Center, Chicago.
She and her writing partner, Andy Eninger, have been named semi-finalists for the Page International Screenwriting Awards and are in the Top 100 of Emerging Screenwriters for their original sitcom pilot, Fertile Ground. Her original solo comedy Journey to the Center of the Uterus™: Adventures Infertility!, a poignant comedy based on her own roller coaster experiences with infertility, premiered in Chicago and was featured on the PBS special Health Secrets: What Every Woman Should Know hosted by Paula Zahn. Kathleen also created an original audio blog, Journey to the Center of the Uterus™, especially for (Website hidden).
She is the producing director of the SCTC Original Sitcom Contest and SCTC Comedy Screenplay Contest for the Second City Training Center. The contests drew almost 400 new sitcom and screenplay scripts from all over the world in its first year.
Currently, Kathleen can be seen in Mrs. O'Brien's Guide to the Golden Rule!, the hilarious sequel to Late Nite Catechism and Bible Bingo, a hilariously scripted/improvised Bingo Game. She appears at the Royal George Theatre in Chicago and all over the U.S and Canada.
For over a decade, Kathleen worked with the Chicago Comedy Company, writing and performing original sketch and improv for corporations and colleges around the country. In addition to having a “Masters” in comedy from Second City, The Annoyance and IO, she has also taught improvisation at The Second City, along with improv and voiceover workshops at Baylor University, U of I, In Forte (among others) and has taught voiceover at Bosco Productions in Chicago where she used improvisation as a tool to help with the creative process.
Kathleen is also the creator and producer of the Funny Women Fest, which showcased the talents of women as educators, performers, writers and producers of comedy and improvisation, and the festival attracted women from all over the world.
