About Nick Mast

After working hand in hand with program managers and voice actors on a live radio performance of "It's a Wonderful Life", Nick was inspired and soon after began performing behind the microphone. Now Nick's passion for excellence in voice performance shines through in his productions. And with a career full of audio engineering experience to boot, Nick has plenty of chops on both sides of the microphone.

He's worked on a variety of audio production projects, including recordings of live Michigan Opera Theater performances and is experienced in post-production for broadcast. He's also been a faculty member at the Specs Howard School of Media Arts and has been Chief Engineer for several major market FM radio stations with formats from classical to country.

Nick records in his professional home studio known as Fort Rocks. It includes an isolated performance booth and an acoustically conditioned control room for accurate monitoring. With the recording technology portion of the voice-over craft streamlined into an efficient workflow, he can focus on the script to achieve the best vocal performance...and capture it with professional studio quality.

His home is situated in the country hills of southeast Michigan, and he enjoys hiking, biking, his diesel tractor, playing guitar, creating original music, watching movies and of course, NBC's The Voice.
