Since living abroad for most of my adult life, I have developed a standard, geographically ambiguous English accent. My speaking voice is mid-pitch; a good mixture of contemporary and classical. With a background in both theater and education (specifically teaching English Language, English Literature and phonics), I've developed a clear, pleasant speaking voice. Learning Mandarin Chinese (and living in such an international environment) has helped my mouth become a more versatile instrument; overcoming the pronunciation of unfamiliar sounds means I can quickly learn to replicate almost any phoneme I'm faced with.
