About Ryan Johnson

I am grateful to have experiences that many only dream of. My career began as an aircraft mechanic in the U.S. Navy where I spent nearly a year in the Persian Gulf during Gulf War 1 working on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier. After being honorably discharged I worked in the entertainment business both as an actor and as the Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice President of TNT & TBS for 13 years. I am best known for roles on Days Of Our Lives, Charmed, and JAG. I then went on to become a Commercial Airline Captain at a major U.S. airline for several more years and then found my way back to entertainment, more specifically, Voice Overs! I now spend my time practicing this craft with my wife and kids.

My life has truly been a kaleidoscope of invaluable experiences. On the production side, I have over 13 years working in Original Programming for TNT & TBS Originals, 2 of which were spent working directly with Susanne Daniels, former President of The WB Network. On the other side of the camera, I am known for roles on The WB Network's, Charmed, CBS's JAG, and NBC's Days of Our Lives. My first real job in entertainment, after being discharged from the U.S. Navy, was in 1995, playing a funny, stoner-like lifeguard in the San Diego Zoo's new Hippo Beach exhibit commercial and radio premiere campaign. Since that first job many years ago, I have become an actor, a television network executive assistant, a Certified Flight Instructor, a commercial airline captain, husband, and most important job of all, father. I believe life is too short to not try and achieve your dreams and have the experiences you want to have. Get at it!
