Terri Taliaferro was born in the Midwest and raised in California. She has a B.A. in political science from the University of California, Berkeley and a graduate degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in journalism. She grew up performing in the musical theatre, her first love, and developed an interest in television news and talk shows. After internships at CBS, NBC, and ABC television affiliates and a stint with ESPN as a sideline reporter in graduate school, she started work full-time as an overnight producer/anchor and day-side reporter with an NBC affiliate. Terri has also worked as a general assignment reporter and a freelance reporter at ABC affiliates and as a weekend anchor/reporter for a FOX affiliate. Terri performed as a professional in the Tony Award winning musical Dreamgirls as the Understudy to one of the principal roles. In October 1996, Terri left television to pursue her dream of performing on Broadway after she was cast in New York in the Pre-Broadway Tour of the Tony nominated Broadway musical revival Annie. Terri returned to television 2010 and now works for the PBS affiliate in Sacramento as an administrative assistant and as a Host of KVIE Arts Showcase.
