My broadcasting career started in 1974, at KVWC, Vernon, Texas. While there, I was a disc jockey, salesman, copywriter and sports reporter. I credit the station’s owner and general manager for teaching me how to use my voice. After KVWC, I had brief radio stints in Ft. Worth, Texas and Denver, Colorado, at KERE. While at KERE, I worked as a news anchorman.
My freelance career began in 1986, as a part-time venture in addition to my full-time job. I lent my voice for numerous projects at Alpha Video Productions in Denver, Colorado. The projects were mainly industrial videos for such corporations as Texaco, Exxon, Phillips 66 and Amoco Oil Co., as well as other non-petroleum companies. After that, I lent my voice to US West Direct’s “EasySource Audio Classifieds” project. When that project ended, I was hired to provide a character voice for a Dinomation, Inc. exhibit at the Aurora Town Center. A short time later, I provided a character voice for a Denver Center Theater play. Recently, I was hired to voice-act two characters for the Space Science Institute in Boulder, Colorado, for their live-actor/animation project. In 2012, I supplied the voice-over for four video projects with Electronic Solutions, Inc. (Boulder, CO) and a video project for Break Time Management (Englewood, CO). In addition, I have completed narration projects for e-learning videos, via Knowledgeworks. I also have two commercial spots running on ESPN Radio 102.3 FM, Denver, for Dry Dock Brewing Co. and Elk Mountain Brewing Co.
