About Us

M-D Building Products' rich history of innovation and manufacturing expertise began in 1920, as the Macklanburg-Duncan Company. The M-D story encompasses over 95 years of creating products to meet the needs of an evolving consumer.

We lead the categories of weatherstripping, floor and tile trims, perforated aluminum sheets, digital levels, and professional caulking, as well as offering a multitude of accessory products. Additionally, we build components for other manufacturers through our strong custom aluminum and vinyl extrusion manufacturing business.

As a family-owned business with a strong succession plan, we are well positioned for future growth and on-going investment. As an example of the investments we make to support our business, in the space of the upcoming year, we will add 100,000 square feet of expanded distribution space, our fourth aluminum extrusion press, and a new vinyl clad department located in Oklahoma City.
