AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Tremendously rude and unprofessional.
Sent me an incorrect script, I recorded it - even on the 4th of July! - then they sent me a scathing email insinuating that I had missed sections of the script and that I will need to re-record them. I don’t think so: the new script they then sent had sections that weren’t even in the old script.
So upon checking, I didn’t miss anything at all. I replied politely that this was not my error, and please don’t blame me. That is literally all I said. Then Louise Baxter emails me back with an inordinately curt email telling me not to be rude. Why is it the de facto response to blame the voice talent for your errors and then label them as rude for simply standing up for themselves? Check your script first please before you blame the voice talent. No one would reply favorably to such an accusation.
Then they promised to release payment once I provided the files. I did so, expediently, as I always do, and then the client ghosted me for a week - even after several messages inquiring to see if they were receiving my emails - finally coming back with an excuse that their entire office was out with Covid. This is the 21st century. No one had internet access or received emails during that time? Unless you were all on respirators, I’m afraid I’m not buying it.
This was flat-out blame, trying to get me to re-record without a new session fee, rudeness, unprofessionalism, lies, and avoidance. Their script was poorly written and with indications on where to breathe (!) for heaven’s sake. I should have known it would come to this.
I would highly recommend you avoid this client at all costs. I’ve done a LOT of work on VDC, as my profile and review count clearly show. I provide excellent service and super quick turnaround, as my reviews show time and time again. Not once have I ever been so mistreated and accused - until TFA Marketing and Louise Baxter came along.
