Description

This audio clip is of me working live air traffic at Pueblo Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON), Pueblo, Colorado, in 1988.

Pueblo airport has three intersecting runways and a complex mix of commercial, general aviation, and military air traffic. There is a wide selection of instrument approach procedures available in Pueblo, combined with a radar approach control services which provide a complex environment to handle a diverse mix of aircraft and weather operations.

This complex environment invites a wide range of military flight training from military bases from all of Colorado and surrounding states.

This audio clip was recorded while I was working toward my FPL (Full Performance Level) certification as a newly reported controller in Pueblo. Pueblo is my third ATC facility. My first facility was Aspen Tower in Aspen, Colorado. I also have a recording available of me controlling John Denver in Aspen in his Waco biplane, Waco-428.
