My voice features range from baritone to bass rich in clarity and dignity. I can create a variety of emotions by targeting the range in which I read or recite to a wide array of audiences. While I’m proud of my voice and what I can do with it, the most important consideration is your goal for the project. I assume that goal is successful communication, and that success is measured by the response of the intended audience. In short, I’m passionate about your success.
There are many factors that influence this outcome such as the script itself and the value of the product or service represented. None the less, tailoring the voice work to the intended audience will maximize the value of the other factors. By utilizing the lower portions of my voice range, I can inspire a sense of calm or relaxation or even a little romance. By using a slightly higher range, I can stimulate the energy, enthusiasm and excitement necessary when the goal is to persuade or motivate action. For educational presentations I can temper my delivery to both stimulate thought and creativity as well as promote the attentiveness needed for learning.
While there are many great voice talents to choose from, my value-add is to approach a communication task by striving to become the audience first. I have studied ways to assess the audience nuances quickly and accurately. By calculating the distinct motivations of an audience, I can tailor any communication to stimulate the emotions that will drive action.
In my career life, I work with sales and marketing organizations to maximize technology utilization. In that capacity, I frequently lead intense planning discussions on technical and business matters, and conduct group and one-on-one training sessions. In addition, I am a lay minister and frequently conduct church services in nursing homes, prisons and retreats.
