Brandon Hynum

Resume/samples upon request. I have a varied background in performing plays, operas, musicals, & classical concerts. I'm an actor first, and was taught to embrace vocal elasticity as my practice.

As a kid, I learned and sang Friend Like Me, and learned to manipulate my voice like Robin Williams. I also used to imitate Jim Carey's performance in The Mask. Clearly, I was one of the popular kids in school. Andy Serkis' Gollum, Sean Connery, and many others I used to imitate to the letter.

As a singer, I get hired to blend, and blend professional choirs with my sound. While doing so, I've been studying acting and singing lessons. One of my greatest joys is teaching folks how to coordinate pitch, and teach a self-reliant technique for singing and acting.

Ultimately, singing & acting are the same thing. I was heavily inspired by a performance of James Earl Jone for On a Golden Pond. I was amazed how he led with this voice first, and adopted this practice as my own.
