his wits snapped back to him, he lunged forward back on his belly and began his crawl towards the first trailer. The increasing amount of cold and wet that was seeping into Geos clothes, hair and bones went unnoticed. Geo was a bubble of nerves and adrenaline. His mind wouldn't allow him time to shiver or be uncomfortable until he was safe in the back of the trailer. Nice work. I didn't know you had it in, you smiled. Garrett. Is he approved. The shivering geo under the trailer. Look at them go, he continued with a smile, noting the US state employees evacuating the depo making up the 150 yard walk up to street level. Come on, whispered Geo, pressing his poems against the cold earth. He pushed himself up into a crawling position. Now that they were outside the docks, they found gravel underneath them which forced them to sneak at a much slower pace to avoid creating a racket. The trade off was worth it in their minds. The wet and cold of the grass and mud would now become a memory. Geo peaked up the stairs and into the office to make sure there was no one around. It appeared as though their plan was working. Go, whispered Garrett. Now hurry! The high low whale of the siren's stopped and the pair locked eyes. They knew it wouldn't be long before the building was full again. The time for crawling and sneaking around was over. Garrett ran past Geo who quickly followed until they reached the dock with trailer 3 54. They couldn't have timed it any better. The truck was full but still open. Had they been a minute or two later, the trailer would have been sealed and ready for transport. Garrett and Geo climbed up in over the freight towards the nose of the trailer. About halfway through they found a low spot amongst the freight where they could hide out of sight in case anyone looked in. The murmur from outside, moved its way in as the employees went back to work, Geo and Garrett looked at each other, feeling lucky, realizing what they had just done could have gone wrong in so many ways the door of the trailer was slammed down and locked. The friends were in absolute darkness except for the three window vents in the top of the trailer, the vents looked like illuminated squares amidst the darkness. Garrett climbed to a higher point amongst the freight, directly under the window vent in the rear of the trailer and cranked it to its fully open position, allowing enough light to enter so that they could see each other's faces. When the truck's engine roared to life and the truck began pulling the trailer away from the dock. A feeling of success came over the pair. Geo, feeling as excited as he had ever felt constrained his emotion but could not contain an ear to ear grin
